I just found this, and am totally loving that something like this exists. ^_^ (It probably exists elsewhere too, but this is the first I’ve seen, so, I are happeh. ^_^)
- Do you want to come out as a dancer?
- Would you like to build confidence in the way you move in your body?
- Do you want to explore your sparkly, sensual self in a fun, safe environment?
- Are you looking for a space where all gender identities are welcome and respected?
Join me for a fun, fierce, hip shaking four weeks of Bellydance classes in June. Just $50 for the month. Learn the beautiful movements of an ancient art in an upbeat and supportive environment. All levels of dance experience welcome!
Because of it’s use of simple rhythms and the whole body, Bellydance is a great way to develop connection to your body. In this series of four classes, we will cover the following basics: dance posture, hand/arm work, locks, pops, and shimmies. Instructor Heaven creates a warm, fun environment for exploring your connection to your body, while improving your moves.
No previous dance experience necessary. All body types welcome.

Not only is this woman a MARVELOUS, FANTASTICALLY impressive dancer, but LOOK WHAT SHE DOES W/HER TUMMY, starting at around 2:30! O.O … *floored* And that -on top- of already being a vibrant, magnetic, energetic and lovely dancer. O.O *shakes head* I can’t. I just can’t! *falls over again*
Oh! And speaking of myooziks, has anyone taken a listen to either of my new, revived li’l podcast..? If so, lemme know whatcha think! ^_^
It’s all about, by and for bellydance & bellydancers, so I hope the community enjoys it. ^_^ (And next up, I’ll be doing a show about the more unusual types of music dancers groove to, from Southern swang to gothy, and classical to maybe even a li’l dubstep. ;D) ♥♥♥
Arright peeps, you asked for it, so you’ve got it! Here’s our first Geek Friday video- taken from your requests.. for video games! (We did this theme only a few weeks ago, but I’ve been spelunking for new ones, so we don’t get all repetitive up in here. ;)) Meet Link and Zelda, ballet and baladi style! ;D First Link rocks it out with a -beautiful- ballet and breakbeat solo, and then, ‘bout halfway in, Zelda comes along to really rock the bellydance. ^_^ I hope y’all enjoy, and happy Geek Friday! ♥♥
And speaking of swords, WOW.. what a star!! Such a beautiful dancer, w/adynamic and well-put-together routine, and just overall.. WOW! ^_^ Plus, that has GOT to be one of the best ways I have -ever- seen somebody put down a sword. O.O SO great! Lilililililili-yiiii-IP!!
Inspired by Mother’s Day. :) I hope you guys like! ^_^
Melaya luff sassiness!
I dunno if I’ve posted this before, but if I have, it’s so good, it’s worth posting again. :) It’s short and very sweet, well-written and inspiring like mad. ^_^
Plus, it features a bellydancer (w/what I believe is a milder case of cerebral palsy) who has done AMAZING things w/her own pursuit of this dance. Check her out, ‘cause Neena Nour is a -faboo- dancer! ^_^)
If you’re physically challenged through disability or injury, you may think dancing is beyond your grasp. Belly dance may offer the solution!
Happy Mother’s Day, everyone! ♥♥♥
