Next for our Geek Friday video games theme, we’ve got this BADASS concoction by 2 of the members of Raks Geek, a troupe that SPECIALIZES in geeky bellydance! ^_^
Using the game Assassin’s Creed as inspiration, this is a -chill inducing- Fusion sword piece that’s beautifully staged, artfully choreographed and delightfully dark; with sharp movements & dramatic, loverly accents. ^_^ I positively adore this piece, and wouldn’t mind learning it m’self! ^_^
In fact, this reminds me a lot of Night, the president of our former bellydancing club at RU. She’s a BIG fan of computers, anime, and other awesomely geeky stuff, loved our nifty swords (that we got at MissBellydance.com- in BLACK XD), and often wears costuming like this- as well as a hoodie in her “daily duds.” ^_^ (Plus, her dancing style is somewhat similar in its form & intent, so I can -totally- see her pulling something like this off. ^_^) I bet she’d PLATZ over the costuming, choreo & intensity here, too. ^_^
So for all my darkling divas, video gaming vixens, and especially you, Ms. Night, this is for you. ^_^ I hope I get to do something like THIS w/you someday, ‘cause it is WICKED! ♥♥
Now, get ready for one strong & super badass sword piece, and hold on to your scimitars (carefully ;)), ‘cause it’s gonna be one deadly ride-with an awesome soundtrack!. ;D

I dunno if I’ve posted this before, but if I have, it’s so good, it’s worth posting again. :) It’s short and very sweet, well-written and inspiring like mad. ^_^
Plus, it features a bellydancer (w/what I believe is a milder case of cerebral palsy) who has done AMAZING things w/her own pursuit of this dance. Check her out, ‘cause Neena Nour is a -faboo- dancer! ^_^)

If you’re physically challenged through disability or injury, you may think dancing is beyond your grasp. Belly dance may offer the solution!

Do you guys ever read/watch product reviews..? Generally speaking, do you find them helpful..? And if so, do you prefer to get them via text or video..? (And if not, why not..?)
The idea of potentially reviewing plus-size bellydance-wear just occurred to me, so I wanted to ask y’all about your thoughts on the matter. ^_^ Would you like plus-size dancewear, costume & accessory reviews? And if so, would you like them to feature anything in particular? (Or avoid anything in particular, for that matter..?) Lawd knows many fluffy dancers have a HELL of a time finding decent stuff to work out & perform in, so I thought this might be a cool way of getting the word out, as well as judging manufacturers on how they did- w/elements like fit, sizing, quality, performance, selection, etc. :) (Plus, this could work w/accessories & jewelry as well; since I’ve found not all things work on all body types. Bangles for example, can be tough on bigger sizes, as well as very petite ones. :))
SO, what would YOU like to see in a plus-size dancewear review..? Do tell! ^_^

Does anyone out there still listen to podcasts..?
As some of you might already know, I’m reviving my old, long-lost (or, more accurately “long deceased”) podcast, Eclectica. And since this newer, better, zombified version is gonna be MUCH cooler than before (read; more bellydance-inspired ;D), I wanted to get YOUR insights on how the newly resurrected show should be. ^_^
Do you ever listen to podcasts..? If so, why or why not..? Are you looking for any particular content, music style, program style, length, format, etc..? What do you like/dislike in a program/podcast..? And where do you tend to get your podcasts from..? (iTunes, the interwebs, Spotify, etc..?)
If you have a moment, wouldst thou come and giveth a little feedback, so I can make the best podcast possible..? I’d love to hear what my beautiful bellydance community would like, so I can craft a show that I know all of my amazing dancer peeps out there will love. ^_^
Thanks so Muchly!
